The Romagnole Riviera has always been considered a huge entertainment factory, owing to the presence of a multitude of pubs, cocktail bars, discos, recreation halls and fun fairs. There’re also lots of open-airs shows and events organised by the local town councils.

Cattolica and the Adriatic Riviera

Cattolica is set in an ideal position on the Riviera. As far as dance clubs are concerned: it’s only 7 km. From the most famous discos, those set in the hillside between Misano and Riccione, another famous club is Baia Imperiale which is to be found only a few minutes away in Gabicce Mare; for live music, Cattolica has many squares where shows, concerts and events are easy to find.

From the enormous Piazza della Repubblica to the smaller Piazza del Mercato, where dance schools hold free lessons during summer, just choose: Latin American or Romagnole style waltzes.

Moving along you reach Piazza 1° Maggio, with its famous musical fountains. Or go along to the Park Le Navi where among gardens and open-spaces you can enjoy live music...like that of Mirko Casadei, son of the more famous Raoul, king of Romagnole style music

HOT SPOTS IN CATTOLICA

Beach Bar	Lungomare Rasi Spinelli Summer meeting point for the locals. Quiet and cosy, typical of the local character.
Bistrot Nettuno	Lungomare Rasi Spinelli On the esplanade, piano bar and restaurant, sober and elegant atmosphere with karaoke every evening.
Caipirado	Via Dante Brazilian cocktail bar, in the pedestrian area of Via Dante.
Camarillo	Via Fiume Small, on the promenade: cocktails, lots of Latin-American music and wild bar-women!!
Enoteca Oivos	Via Bovio In the town centre, the best place to enjoy choice wines whilst watching the promenaders.
Fuori Tema	Via Risorgimento Furnished in a very particular way, centrally situated, open from the morning onwards, some snacks, music and a maxi-screen.
La Rocca	Via Pascoli Via In the “old part” of Cattolica. Cosy, suitable for small talk with background music and excellent food.
Madrugada	Via Carducci Live music and DJ every night. At the far end of Via Carducci, outside the entrance to the Park Le Navi. Hot spot during winter months: a visit here is a must.
Malindi	Foce del Conca (mouth of the river Conca) At the northern end of beach, nearly in Misano. In-house music every evening, except at weekends when you dance barefoot on the beach.
Pecora Nera	Via Libertà Lively, decorated in bright colours for a real summer atmosphere, only a short walk from the town centre. Ideal to start off or to close the evening.
The Pirate	Via Antonini – Via del Porto Typical English pub...with a typical menu like fish’n’chips. Music, great beer, videos. On the harbour in Cattolica.
Red Lion	Via del Prete One of the first pubs to open in Cattolica, English style. Excellent snacks.
Roundhouse	Via del Prete Towards Misano, the only pub with a pool.
The Trolls	Via Fiume corner Via Matteotti Classic Ceres pub: cosy, wood furnishings with outdoor tables, near the centre.
3-bar zone: Raquette Peledo's Trocadero	Crossroads between Via Dante and Via Fiume Meeting point in the pedestrian area and always full of tourists and Pierres offering free or discount entrance tickets to the local discos. Excellent venue for observing the promenaders.

PARTIES AROUND TOWN

During the summer months, the Town Council organises, at its expense, various shows and events around town. Every Tuesday in the Piazza Mercato “Vamos a bailar”: Latin-American dance school, open to all with instructors and animators, Wednesday; it’s the turn of the folkloristic Romagnole style waltzes.

Theatre and cabaret at an international level take place in the Arena della Regina, last year (2002), as well as big time Italian stars, we had the pleasure to present Alanis Morisette. This year, Battiato, Mannoia and the very popular Italian comic group "Zelig" will go on the stage!

FAMILY SPECIALS

As well as offering shows and manifestations in the town squares, Cattolica offers lots of entertainment for family groups: the new esplanade along the beach, fully illuminated, the lido open until late at night, as well as games, dancing lessons and night-lit pools.

Families with children will surely appreciate the electric cars in the recreational halls and in the Giardini de Amicis, not far from where the 3 bars are to be found. Lots of crazy golf courses too, cute, the one on the beach at lido n°7.

Every night, there’s a market somewhere in town, ranging from antiques, to the flea market to that of the artists in Piazza delle Fontane.
