What to see arround Cattolica, the most popular seaside resort on the Adriatic Coast in Italy!

All the interesting sights and destinations! Enjoy in and around the inland area of Cattolica, discover the medieval castles at Gradara, San Leo and San Marino, which are only a short trip away.

Park of Mount St. Bartolo

THE PARK OF MOUNT ST. BARTOLO | 5 KM – from the beaches of the Romagna and Marche regions emerges in a wavy succession of spurs and hills which slope to the sea. This is an area of great interest, both from a naturalistic and cultural-historical point of view: with all its charm, this park narrates ancient history and describes its relationship with the sea, the animals, the plants and the people of the region.

Gradara Castle

GRADARA CASTLE | only 6 KM away, one can find Gradara, situated in the land of the Malatesta dynasty among the hills of the Marche region. From its walls, one can appreciate the view of the Riviera, the sea and the Romagna countryside.

Montefiore Castle

MONTEFIORE | 14 KM – a gigantic fortress with imposing features… within its walls, one can find narrow streets and churches, precious works of art and the traditional craft of the potters. From the top of the fortress, one can look down onto the entire coastline.

Saludecio

SALUDECIO | 14 KM – when passing through the first stretch of the Valconca valley, just a few miles from the sea, one can clearly identify the town, with its characteristic bell towers, towers and walls; access to Saludecio is through an ancient gate which looks towards the sea, and once entering the town one is immediately met by its harmonious main square, prestigious streets, palaces and churches.

Mondaino

MONDAINO | 16 KM – it is characterised by its beautiful, unique, round square and fortress, from which one has an all round view of the sea and the mountains, it has a botanical park and holds numerous events taking place during the summer.

Montegridolfo

MONTEGRIDOLFO | 18 KM – one of the best preserved castles of the Rimini area is situated right on the border between the Romagna and Marche regions; all its buildings have been renovated with great care.

Caves of Onferno

THE CAVES OF ONFERNO | 26 KM – the Oriented Natural Reserve appears to be a world away from the liveliness of the Riviera: tranquillity, relaxation and immersion in nature are its main characteristics. At the Reserve, you can visit one of the most striking regional karst formations. On guided tours you can explore the underground system and admire the rock pendants, big colourful creations, the biggest round-topped hanging rocks in Europe and huge masses of crystals on the ceilings of the caves. The biggest regional bat colony can be found in these caves.

Republic of San Marino

THE REPUBLIC OF SAN MARINO | 30 KM - The Republic of San Marino, a real small state within the Italian borders, is so famous that it does not require lengthy presentations. It was founded according to tradition in 301 d.c. by the Holy namesake. San Marino is a very popular tourist destination for strolling among its narrow streets full of quaint shops and breathtaking views ... worth a visit.
